My Vintage Prom Daughter!

Her Gorgeous 1950s Vintage Dress!
Matching Vintage Pearls & Pumps too!

Hi All!  Just wanted to show off my daughter in her gorgeous VINTAGE dress she wore to Prom last Saturday night!
I just think it's so cool that she wasn't afraid to wear a 50-something year old dress when you know all the other girls were in slinky, modern, skin-baring, bejeweled numbers.  We found it on Etsy (of course) & when she first tried it on we knew it was just made for her!  We also scored vintage pearls from Etsy & found her some matching pumps.  A sweet sweater shrug & ruffly handbag (got both for $27 at the mall) completed her look ~ which I must say she ROCKED!

Thanks for letting me brag a little today!  :)
I'm proud of my vintage daughter!

She is beautiful and looks how a young girl should look for their Prom. My girls did not wear vintage but they wore modest dresses and looked fantastic.

I love the vintage look and your daughter wears it like it was made for her. I bet she had a wonderful time.

I became obsessed with all things vintage while watching Molly Ringwald in "Pretty in Pink" and began scouring the thrift stores soon after (I even got my hair cut like Molly's)! So kudos to your daughter for being the obviously daring and unique person that she is! She truly looks amazing!

Hi Jill,
This is my first time to your blog. My husband and I foster new born kitties when the need arises and it occurs far to often. We have 3 cats and 2 dogs...all rescue.
Your daughter is stunning...I bet she was the royalty of the prom...her dress is gorgeous...I have been looking for a dress like that for my mannequin.
You can never go wrong with pearls...they are timeless. She is very photogenic and has that peaches and cream skin glow.
Look forward to getting to know you better.
I have signed up to be a friend/follower of your blog and would love to invite you to visit mine.
Have A Sugar Sweet Day

What a lovely dress and your daughter is beaming!...isn't Etsy great! I used to work with a model that got all her clothes on Etsy and then resold them when the 'shoots' were over.
