This is my 2nd in a series of "Little Wooden House" paintings I'm making from the tops of fence panels I rescued from the trash.  I meant to get it done earlier for Valentine's Day but so it goes... I finished it last night & it's on Ebay now if you'd like to check it out. 

We got another snowstorm Tuesday!  Most people are sick of the snow but I'm lovin' it!  Winter is so much prettier with snow, the kids get fun snow days & I even think it's kinda fun to drive in!

Current Foster Babies!

Meet Giles & Gretta!

~ my latest foster babies

Giles is the handsome orange & white boy & Gretta is the pretty, exotic-looking brown tabby.  I can tell Giles is going to be a BIG boy & Gretta has the softest, silkiest fur ever!  I've had them for a week & a half now.  They both had mild colds at first, then Giles decided to get all congested & I had to take him back for a clinic check.  He's now on an antibiotic & back to his wild self!  They are both such good kitties ~ playful, but not destructive or too messy.  And when they get tired out from romping they snuggle up & purr!

Giles has 7 more pills to take so I'll have them for another week, then I'm really hoping they get adopted & have a loving new home in time for Christmas!

Someday I'll grow into my ears!

When does "Top Cat" come on?

So far ~ all 14 of the fosters I've had have ALL been adopted!  Little Kappy, the scrawny little black boy I had to syringe feed for a week, is still awaiting adoption at the Humane Society.  That sweet boy has got to be adopted soon!  That would be the best Christmas present of all for me!

Working on more Christmas creations for the shop today!  Hope you're enjoying this wonderful Christmassy time of year!  I could sure go for some SNOW!!!

6" of Snow & No School!

We got the most beautiful wonderfully wet snow overnight & woke up to around 6" & school cancelled! It's so fun to go knock on my kids' doors & tell them "NO SCHOOL! You can sleep in!" They are so excited, especially when it's a Monday! Then I usually go back to bed for a while myself. I hurried & got a few pictures before the snow started falling off the tree branches. It's SO pretty!

A good day to hunker down in my studio & work on my next project. Think I'll have to take a break & make some of my famous pumpkin bread later too! It makes the house smell sooo good ~ Yum! I finished my Mardi Gras painting last night & will post it on my blog & Ebay later today.

How about that game yesterday??? Both teams played SO well & I don't think I've ever seen so many completed passes before! That surprise onside kick by the Saints & interception for a td were just priceless! So happy for New Orleans. Can you imagine how CRAZY Mardi Gras is gonna be now? I think it's already started!

New Christmas Goodies for the Shop!

I was a busy little elf all weekend sewing up these new Christmas creations for my Etsy shop ~ 2 pillows, a stuffed ornament & a gift bag! I love how they turned out. They are all made from a vintage tablecloth I found online & was lucky to grab. The print was so cute I just had to have it! I'm really into vintage fabrics right now. There's just something about the "old fashioned" look of it that gives me a warm, nostalgic feeling! The pillow with the red border has already sold but the rest are in my Shop to check out!

We also got our Christmas tree today! We always get a REAL one & I hope that never changes. Our family always had a real tree every year when I was growing up & to me, an artificial one just isn't the same. I know real ones can be a pain & there are beautiful artificial ones out there but I can't give up my big Fraser Fir & it's wonderful pine scent! I'll post some pics when it's all decorated & lit up!

We're expecting a bit of weather tonight ~ some freezing drizzle & maybe snow. Yay! Bring on the snow! Hope you all had a nice weekend. Stay warm & toasty!
