Today the spotlight is on our 2 foster kitties Sophie & Sierra.  It was a week ago today when we went & picked them up.  It's amazing how fast they grow.  We can already see a change.  They've been SO much fun for our family & are such good kitties eating like little pigs, faithfully using their litter boxes (well, except for a few piles the first day) & playing like there's no tomorrow!  Do you EVER get tired of watching kittens play??? 

Today they got new furry mice & they were in Heaven!  I think they thought the mice were REAL!  I even heard some growling going on when one got too close to the other's mouse.  Too funny.  I tried to get pictures of them playing but forgot to turn on the "fast motion" thingy on the camera & they all came out blurry - sorry.  Ever try to get a kitten to hold still?  I'll try & get some better ones later.

Prints Now in the Shop~Yay!

I have NEW PRINTS in the shop as of today!  Woohoo! 

The picture above is my first attempt at a photoshopped collage.  UGH!  I'm starting to think you have to be a rocket scientist to figure photoshop out!  Does anyone else find it hard to understand???  Maybe it's just me.  I'm brand new to it & feel like a complete idiot trying to do the simplest things.  The step-by-step tutorials could stand a few more steps if you ask me.  Oh well, I'm slowly getting the hang of it & I'm sure it'll be fun once I get better.....maybe....yeah.  In the meantime, I'm fine with my Olympus Master photo editing software that's very user friendly & I KNOW how to use!

Our First Foster Kitties!

Meet Sophie & Sierra, our first foster kitties!  I got an e-mail from the Humane Society Friday morning asking if we could foster some kittens & of course I said YES!  We picked them up Friday evening.  Aren't they the most ADORABLE sweeties ever???  They are 4 weeks old so we'll have them for a month or so.  They need to be 8 weeks old & at least 2 pounds before they can be adopted.  We're having SO much fun watching them tumble around playing & wrestling!  They're being such good kitties, eating well & using their litter boxes - yay!

We have our basement guestroom all fixed up for them & they are feeling right at home (temporarily anyway).  I LOVE their buff beige coloring!  Sierra is the shorter haired & Sophie is the fluffy butterball.  Our resident cats, Zoolou & Markie came down to check them out but seemed disinterested & walked away - ha!  I guess I didn't need to worry about them stressing out.  Now they're acting as though they don't even know they're here.  That's good!

Feline Friday!

Waiting for Shirley

Happy Friday everybody!  Today for "Feline Friday" I'm sharing a blog post from our KS Humane Society's Foster Blog.  We have an outdoor living history museum here in Wichita called Cowtown where several stray cats live.  A nice lady named Shirley has been caring for them for years, bless her heart.  What a kind soul to give so much to those cats.  I wish there were more people like her!  I think these cats are the healthiest looking strays I've ever seen!  Look at those beautiful fur coats!  Thank you Shirley for being their angel!

Our KHS Foster Volunteer Shirley Hutchison has been caring for the many stray cats that live at Cowtown for decades– every morning she goes to Cowtown to feed them, and she also provides veterinary care for them when they need it. One of her Cowtown colleagues photoshopped a picture of some of the Cowtown cats while they wait for Shirley to arrive for breakfast
